How to Apply
The LaVale Volunteer Rescue Squad, Inc. seeks applicants for full-time and part-time Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Clinicians. Applications are accepted continuously. Email your completed application and resume to paidems@lavalerescue.org.
We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
What to Expect
After you submit your application and resume, our team will review your qualifications. If selected, you’ll be invited to an interview.
How is scheduling handled?
Shifts are scheduled monthly. We work with our clinicians to accommodate availability while ensuring coverage. Full-time positions typically work two 24-hour shifts per week.
I’m licensed in another state. Can I still apply?
Yes. You must be able to obtain Maryland reciprocity through MIEMSS. We recommend starting the reciprocity process before or shortly after applying.
Is there opportunity for advancement or training support?
We support our clinicians’ professional growth. BLS clinicians interested in advancing to ALS may be eligible for flexible scheduling to attend paramedic school. A wide variety of training opportunities are available through the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute, typically at no cost to the student.
Is there an orientation process?
Yes. All newly hired clinicians are scheduled as a third person with an experienced crew for a minimum of two shifts for orientation to our equipment and operations.
Who do I contact with questions?
